- Elk Island Public Schools is one of Alberta's largest school systems serving approximately 16,200 students in 44 schools.
- Elk Island Public Schools (EIPS) is a school division formed in 1995 after regionalization.
- Schools range in size from 30 students to approximately 1,400.
- The system employs approximately 950 teachers and 500 non-teaching staff.
