School Education Plan

Ardrossan Junior Senior SEP 2011-2012

School Supply Lists

Students do not receive specific school supply lists. They should come prepared with two binders with dividers and lined paper, pens, and pencils for the first day. Individual teachers will let students know about specific supply requirements for each class.

Introduction

Ardrossan Junior Senior High School offers students a progressive education with outstanding facilities in a quiet, rural setting.

In addition to academic excellence with high Provincial Achievement Test and Diploma Exam results, we have a provincially well known Music program; an award winning Visual Arts program; a 275-seat, state-of-the-art theatre contributing to the school's first-rate Drama program; and a Culinary Arts program.

Those students wishing to pursue enrichment opportunities will find the Honours program available to challenge them.

The Physical Education program offers over 26 athletic teams and is enhanced by a modern weight room and two gymnasiums. The library facilities provide students with an extensive resource selection, access to online resources, and state-of-the-art technology.

Second Language programs include an outstanding French Immersion program as well as French and Spanish as Second Languages. Junior high students interested in Career and Technology Studies (CTS) have access to three fully equipped computer rooms, industrial arts labs, food preparation, and fashion design facilities.
