Introduction

Fort Saskatchewan Christian School (FSCS) operated as an independent Christian School from 1978-2000. On August 31, 2000, FSCS joined Elk Island Public Schools (EIPS) and now operates as a publicly-funded Alternative Christian Program. It offers educational programs for students in Kindergarten through Grade 9. FSCS follows Alberta Learning-mandated curriculum, interpreted from an evangelical Christian perspective. FSCS accepts students who, together with their parents, support our educational philosophy. All staff are committed evangelical Christians who support the school's mission.

Mission

To assist families by providing students with a Christ-centered, biblically-directed education that instills the vision and practice of excellence in academics, moral character and services to others.

Philosophy

The FSCS school community shall fulfill the greatest commandment: "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind." Matt. 22:37

Beliefs

Christian training of the home and church is extended to the classroom.

Parents and staff work together to reinforce Christian values shared between home, church and school.

Regularly scheduled chapels provide spiritual growth and worship opportunities for both students and staff.
