School Supply Lists

Grades 7-9
Grades 10-12

Introduction

With an enrolment of approximately 300 students in grades 7-12, Lamont High has a family atmosphere through which students are recognized for their talents and encouraged to work to the best of their abilities. The school features a strong academic program and students consistently achieve at or above the provincial achievement levels.

With four computer labs, computers in the library for research, and a new computer lab in the Career and Technology Studies area, Lamont High School is proud to have a modern technology program. Students work with the newest in technology software from the introductory to the advanced levels in areas of communication, technology, design studies, construction technology, fabrication studies, mechanics, energy, and mines. Courses in Food Studies, Fashion Studies, and Cosmetology are offered in that newly refurbished area.

Students are able to investigate career interests through our Work Experience program. Students are also able to participate in the Registered Apprenticeship Program. Those students who wish to pursue a career in agriculture are encouraged to participate in the Department of Agriculture's Green Certificate Program.

Mission

In an environment of mutual respect, Lamont High's mission is to encourage individuals to maximize their potential and to prepare them for change and lifelong learning.
