Student Support Services (Special Education)

EIPS provides programs and services according to Alberta Education's Standards for Special Education (Amended June 2004), which describes special education as the education of students with mild, moderate, or severe disabilities and/or those who are gifted and talented.

We believe that all children have unique educational needs and that with effective teaching and appropriate resources, all students can learn and experience success as they participate fully in the experience of schooling.

Our programs and services ensure that all students receive an education appropriate to their abilities and needs. Instruction, rather than setting, is the key to success. Decisions related to the placement of students are made on an individual basis.
