Sherwood Park, AB. — Elk Island Public Schools (EIPS) is hosting a drop-in information session for all residents of Heritage Hills on June 20, 2017. The information session will focus on the province’s recent announcement to fund a Wye Elementary replacement school—an exciting opportunity for the school that will provide an optimal learning space for its students.

The replacement school is being relocated to Heritage Hills Park in Sherwood Park and will have a K-6 grade configuration. In addition, it will be able to accommodate an influx of students with an anticipated student capacity of 650.

At the information session, EIPS will outline plans and timelines for the project, offer insight on the student-transition phase, provide information about student transportation and gather feedback from the community on what features the architect should consider when designing the facility.

Make sure to attend to:

  • learn more about the project;
  • talk to representatives from EIPS;
  • ask questions; and
  • provide your input.
