Sherwood Park, AB. — Students, families, community members and media are invited to attend an upcoming information session about Elk Island Public Schools’ (EIPS) Secondary French immersion program at Ardrossan Junior Senior High on February 20.

Make sure to attend to learn more about the program, curriculum, instruction, diploma requirements, related career paths and optional course offerings. Participants will also have a chance to tour the school; talk to representatives from both Ardrossan Junior Senior High and Sherwood Heights Junior High; and learn about post-secondary options at the University of Alberta’s Campus Saint-Jean.

“It’s an exceptional program and we want all EIPS French immersion students to join us to learn about the program’s long-term benefits and the future opportunities it offers,” says MJ Nam, the Principal of Ardrossan Junior Senior High. “Our students who come out of the program are able to communicate in French with a high level of proficiency and able to function, with ease, in both English and French. They also have access to an array of optional programs, from technology to trades to arts, which helps students find the right path for a successful experience in junior high, senior high and beyond.”

Secondary French immersion programming is offered at both Ardrossan Junior Senior High and Sherwood Heights Junior High.
