School Education Plan 22-23

Introduction

There is a history of strong cooperative collaboration between home and school at École Campbelltown. Learning requires teamwork – student, teacher and family.  Our staff will be “Striving  for Excellence /  Nous visions l’excellencein all that we do.  We look forward to celebrating student success throughout the school year!

The kindergarten program is delivered in French.  Students in Grade 3-6 receive one hour per day of English language arts instruction; all other subjects are taught in French.

Our music program--based on the Orff music methodology-- teaches music appreciation, handbells and outstanding choral technique.

Staff members are supportive, knowledgeable professionals that work together to ensure the success of our students.

Campbelltown's School Council is the school's official parent group. As partners in learning, this group is instrumental in setting goals, allocating resources and maintaining excellence in all programming.

Please feel free to visit us at any time or to contact us if you have any questions. We would be happy to welcome you to the École Campbelltown family.

                                                    ***

Philosophy

We believe:

  • There is an understanding, awareness and appreciation for French language and culture;
  • The school develops the whole child—physically, emotionally, socially and intellectually;
  • There are strong expectations for students--every child can and will succeed.
  • Communication among all educational stakeholders is open and honest.
  • The school is a joyful place and students are actively engaged in learning.
  • Students are lifelong learners who are prepared to meet future challenges;
  • Instruction needs to be differentiated to meet individual student needs.
  • High quality teaching is a prime factor for student achievement and success.

                                                 ***
