Information Session - Boundaries for New School in Davidson Creek
Time: 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 19 or TUESDAY, APRIL 25

We invite you to join us for an information session at Lakeland Ridge school regarding the new K-6 school in the Davidson Creek area of Sherwood Park. Drop in on either evening that works in your schedule, anytime from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Information sessions for the new school in Davidson Creek are being held on April 19 and 25, where the revised boundary concepts are being revealed.

In addition, starting April 10, students, parents and the community members will have opportunity to submit potential school names for consideration by the Board. Submissions can be made at www.eips.ca. A naming committee will narrowed the names down and the Board will approve a final name. More information

Using the application known as Scratch—a drag-and-drop software tool used to teach young people computer programming—students are introduced to computational thinking, coding processes, and tasked with designing games, creating animation, and coding digital stories.

Student Skills Portfolio Breakfast

In partnership with the Sherwood Park and District Chamber of Commerce Education Committee, the event provides students from EIPS and EICS with the opportunity to meet with members of the business community and other organizations. The breakfast promotes the Chamber’s Student Skills Portfolio Program; a program that is part of the curriculum for all high schools in Sherwood Park and surrounding area. The program supplies portfolio binders for the students to us in the CALM course and provides a framework for students to organize and present their academic, personal and employment achievements to future employers and post secondary institutions.
