Mark Liguori, Superintendent of Schools
Mark Liguori joined Elk Island Public Schools (EIPS) as Superintendent on Feb. 2, 2015. With close to 30 years of experience in the education sector, he brings a wealth of knowledge and insight to the Division. Prior to working at EIPS, he served as assistant superintendent of schools for Edmonton Public Schools, where he was responsible for the planning, organizing, control, and activities of more than 50 schools. Before that, he was the director of Human Resources at Edmonton Public Schools and served as principal at two junior high schools and one senior high school. Liguori holds a bachelor of physical education, a bachelor of education, and a masters of education, all of which he received from the University of Alberta.
