Sharing gratitude and kindness this holiday season

The holiday season is a time to reflect on the year that has passed and to take a moment to appreciate the blessings and accomplishments we have achieved together.

To our dedicated staff: Thank you for everything you do to support students. Your hard work and dedication to educational excellence have not gone unnoticed. Because of your unwavering commitment, EIPS is able to provide high-quality, student-centred educational opportunities for all learners in safe and inclusive learning environments. For that, I am incredibly grateful.

To the amazing students: I want to commend you for your enthusiasm, curiosity and willingness to explore new skills and concepts. I hope this holiday season brings you joy, relaxation and a chance to recharge for the exciting opportunities that lie ahead.

To the extraordinary families and caregivers: Thank you for your ongoing support, encouragement and partnership. Your involvement in your child’s learning journey is invaluable, and together, we can continue to build a strong foundation for their future success.

And finally, to our outstanding trustees: We are so fortunate to have you as part of the EIPS Board of Trustees. Your constant leadership, vision, governance and advocacy make our schools better and help ensure success for all students. Thank you for all that you do.

As we celebrate this festive season, let us remember the importance of kindness, compassion and gratitude. May the holiday break be filled with love, laughter and cherished moments with loved ones.

On behalf of Elk Island Public Schools, I wish you all a joyous holiday season and a prosperous new year. I look forward to seeing you all again when classes resume in 2024!

Warmest regards,
Sandra Stoddard, Superintendent
