Sherwood Park, AB. — Students and their family members from around the region are invited to attend the upcoming Your Future: Post-Secondary and Career Fair on November 23. This year’s hybrid in-person and virtual event is free and open to students in grades 9 through 12.

Hosted by Elk Island Public Schools (EIPS), in partnership with the Educational Liaison Association of Alberta, Your Future is an annual post-secondary and career fair that brings together a wide variety of universities, colleges, polytechnics, private schools and sector experts in one place.

Throughout the evening, students and family members can meet with representatives from some of the top post-secondary institutions in Canada, ask questions, talk to experts from various career sectors, learn about career trends and much more. To supplement the in-person event, virtual presentations will also be available from a variety of post-secondary and career organization representatives.

“It’s our intent to provide authentic, relevant and engaging post-secondary and career opportunities that foster growth and readiness for life after school,” says Barclay Spady, EIPS Consultant, Career Pathways. “Building awareness, understanding and readiness for potential pathways helps ensure students acquire self-esteem, self-respect and fulfillment in life.”
