Our Jay PRIDE Award encourages and recognizes outstanding pride in our school - Preparation, Respect, Integrity, Discipline and Excellence. Our Character Education Program promotes and supports the Safe and Caring Schools concept in the following ways: weekly circle time, Jay PRIDE Awards, and citizenship projects.
Our school counsellor is in our school every Tuesday and Friday all day as well as all alternating Wednesdays. She helps support students and teachers as they work with our students. A Speech Therapist comes to the school once a week to provide assistance to students in Kindergarten as well as some students in grade 1-6 with speech, language and hearing difficulties.
A number of extracurricular activities are available to students throughout the school year.
A Caring School
Our mission as a learning community is to provide our students with the tools that will enable them to be Successful. We do this to recognize individual learning styles and equip students with the best strategies to Learn. We do this so that all our students achieve the skills and knowledge necessary to be Lifelong Learners.
We believe every student can achieve success.
Parents are always welcome and are encouraged to volunteer whenever they can.
