Sherwood Park, AB. — We all have one: A story of a teacher who inspired us. So, in honour of World Teachers’ Day, EIPS is running a contest to share those important stories out loud. Whether it’s serving as a role model, making homework fun, giving unconditionally or supporting your journey to success, EIPS wants to hear your story about a teacher who’s had the biggest and most positive impact in your life.

Entering is easy! Simply, share your story in writing or by video on Facebook or Twitter using the hashtag #eipsteachersinspire between October 1-5. Alternatively, email it to communications@eips.ca—EIPS will then share your submission on social media on your behalf.

Contest Details:

Who:   Contest is open to community member; EIPS teachers and staff; current EIPS students; and former EIPS students
When:   Contents runs from October 1-5.
Prize:   The top three entries in each of the three groups will receive an EIPS prize package, announced the week of October 5.

EIPS encourages all students, families, staff and community members to share their story in honour of World Teachers’ Day, taking place on October 5. Launched in 1994 by the United Nations Education, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), World Teachers’ Day is celebrated annually around the world as a way to recognize teachers and the integral role they play in providing quality education to students.

EIPS extends its heartfelt thank you to all its teachers for their dedication, hard work and commitment in guiding and educating our students through their kindergarten to Grade 12 years.
