Senior high school students at EIPS have access to a variety of programs and courses aimed at helping them find the right path for success in high school and beyond. From core, academic programs to careers and technology studies and fine arts courses to athletics students develop the skills and interests needed to find and pursue their passion.

To help you make an informed decision about senior high, EIPS has put together a high school information presentation.

Individual High School Information Sessions

In addition to the available general high school information, each EIPS senior high school is hosting a virtual information session. The sessions allow Grade 9 students and families to meet the staff; virtually tour the school; learn about the curriculum, course offerings and alternative programming available; discuss diploma requirements and various career paths; and more. Dates and times for each senior high information session are below.

February 9 @ 6 p.m.

Bev Facey Community High

February 10 @ 6 p.m.

Fort Saskatchewan High

January 27 @ 6 p.m.

Lamont High

February 10 @ 6 p.m.

  Salisbury Composite High

A number of alternative programs are available in senior high. Information sessions for these programs were held earlier this year. More information is available on the individual school websites or by contacting the schools directly. 

French Immersion: January 20 @ 6 p.m.

EIPS offers a senior high French Immersion program at Ardrossan Junior Senior High—open to students who've completed junior high French Immersion. The program offers students the opportunity to study, speak, listen, read and write in French. Through the courses, students become fluent in French while also achieving the objectives of the regular English school program. Join the information session to learn more about the program, curriculum, instruction, diploma requirements, related career paths and optional course offerings. Learn more

International Baccalaureate Programme: January 26 @ 6 p.m.

EIPS offers an International Baccalaureate Programme (IB) at Salisbury Composite High. Founded on the IB mission, the program aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect. Courses are challenging, and include an international education focus and rigorous assessments. In addition, students have the flexibility to choose to enrol in the full IB programme or from a selection of IB courses. Join the information session to learn more about the program, how it works and what’s needed to qualify. After the session, participants will break into smaller virtual meets to asks questions and discuss programming. Learn more

Advanced Placement: January 28 @ 6 p.m.

EIPS offers an Advanced Placement program at Bev Facey Community High. The courses provide academic rigour and prepare students for post-secondary education. Flexibility is one of the program’s key tenets allowing students to take a full Advanced Placement course load or individual courses based on student interests and strengths. Join the information session to learn more about the program, how it works and how to succeed in Advanced Placement. After the session, participants will break into smaller virtual meets to asks questions and discuss programming.  Learn more
