As you’re aware, the Elk Island Public Schools (EIPS) returning student registration and kindergarten registration processes for the 2023-24 school year open at 9 a.m. on Feb. 1, 2023.

If you’d like your child to continue in the Logos Program next year—or if you have a new student starting school next year who you’d like to register in the Logos Program—be sure to select the Logos school you’d like them to attend when you complete the applicable new or returning student registration form.

It’s important the Division has the best sense of expected numbers for the coming year so the Board can make an informed decision about the future of the Logos program based on these numbers. As such, it’s important for families to choose the Logos Program during the applicable registration process—if that’s your first choice—rather than picking a different school or program because you’re unsure what will happen.

If Logos Program registrations increase significantly, administration will recommend the Board keep the elementary program unchanged at both Brentwood Elementary and Westboro Elementary. If registrations stay relatively flat, administration will recommend the Board consolidate the elementary program at Brentwood Elementary, starting in 2023-24. If this happens, you’ll have an opportunity to confirm or change the school and program you want your child to attend for the upcoming school year.

To provide administration and the Board with the best information possible:

• It’s important all current Logos families complete their Returning Student Registration forms by 28, 2023.
• If you have new students starting school next year and wish to register them in the Logos Program—or if you know other new families in the community interested in the Logos Program—the Division recommends completing the applicable New Student Registration form by 28, 2023, as well. This will ensure the number of new registrations received by that time can also be considered as part of the Board’s decision in March.
