Elk Island Public Schools (EIPS) is exploring how best to manage the student growth and enrolment pressures at James Mowat Elementary. Thank you to everyone who participated in Phase 1 of the public engagement process last June. The feedback received was invaluable. You can read the feedback gathered, in detail, in the below What We Heard Report.
Before making any decisions, EIPS wants to continue the conversation with the community to ensure a long-term solution. As such, Phase 2 of the public engagement is underway. On September 22, James Mowat families, students and community members participated in a public meeting to review the What We Heard Report, discuss possible solutions, share ideas and provide additional feedback.
Couldn't make the meeting? That’s OK. You can still submit input by completing an online survey—open from September 22 to October 3.
We want to hear from you!

All families are encouraged to read the What We Heard Report, attend the upcoming public engagement session and share their thoughts. Y Station will then review all the feedback gathered and compile a report—from the public engagement meetings and survey responses. EIPS will then use that information to develop a solution that best addresses the school’s enrolment pressures.
